Booking terms & conditions for the Old Post House St Fagans
Please note we operate on a minimum of a two night stay during the weekends throughout April to October and during significant sporting / music events in Cardiff. 2 night stays must be taken on a Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday.
Due to the demands of the business, we sometimes have a marquee in situ on our courtyard, that some rooms may overlook.
Check in between 15.00 and 17.00 unless otherwise arranged. Please note we do not have a 24hour reception desk.
You are required to depart from your room by 10.30am the day of departure. If you fail to do so we reserve the right to charge for an additional nights stay.
Room keys/swipe cards must be returned to reception on departure-£5.00 charge per swipe card/key if not returned.
The price includes overnight occupancy of a double room by one or two adults (plus children in the circumstances set out below) and the following morning’s continental breakfast. No more than two adults may occupy the room, unless otherwise arranged. Breakfast is served at the times advertised on our web site, or as otherwise advised to you upon arrival.
The price does not include the cost of any other of our chargeable services which you might use during your stay, such as the cost of external telephone calls from your room. You will be charged for any use you make of these services at the rates current at the time of your stay.
The price of your booking is payable in full on your scheduled day of departure, less any advance payments we might have already received from you.
If you fail to settle your account upon departure, your credit or debit card will be charged for the full amount due. By entering into a booking with us, you accept responsibility for paying all charges due to us under the booking. By providing your credit/debit card details to us when making your booking you are irrevocably authorizing us to debit your card by the amount of this charge (and any other charges due to us under this booking).
Payment may be made in cash or by most credit/debit cards.
Credit card / debit card details are required to secure your reservation but no payment will be taken until your arrival date.
Cancellation charges - More than 3 months notice deposit
Under 3 months notice 50% charge
Under 1 months notice 75% charge
Under 1 week notice 100% charge
Methods of payment accepted:
We take all major credit, debit cards and cash. We do not accept American express.
Damage and Breakage
We are sure that you will take care whilst you stay with us, and we acknowledge that accidents sometimes happen. We do however reserve the right to charge for any damage or breakages, which we consider, was deliberately or recklessly caused. You will be notified in writing as soon as is reasonably practicable, if the damage is discovered after you depart. We also reserve the right to charge further sums if we are unable to re-let the room as a consequence of the damage.
The Old Post House St Fagans is a no Smoking Establishment. If we find that guests have been smoking in the room, then we reserve the right to ask you to leave immediately. You will remain liable for the whole of the cost of your stay and any cleaning costs incurred.
We do not accept any liability for damage to your property or injury to you (or other members of your party) whilst on our premises unless caused by the negligence of us, or our employees.
Subject to suitable rooms being available, one or two children up to the age of 14 may share a room with one or two paying adults. There will be an additional charge for children for whom you require either a cot/day bed or sofa bed to be set up & breakfast. If no bed is required or breakfast there will be no charge. Children over the age of 14 will be charged at the full rate. You must not leave any children under the age of 14 unattended in your room at any time.
Events outside our control
We shall not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under our contract with you that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (such as serious damage to our premises, serious adverse weather conditions, a pandemic or epidemic, or interruption or failure of utility services such as electric power, gas or water).
Our liability to you
Other than in the circumstances set out in above in the event that a room is not available by your scheduled check-in time, our sole liability will be to use reasonable endeavors to offer you alternative accommodation at another nearby venue of a similar standard for a similar price.
Our total liability to you for any loss you suffer will be limited to the total price of your booking. We will not be liable for any losses which were not reasonably foreseeable to both you and us when the contract was entered into, or for any losses that were not caused by any breach of contract or breach of statutory duty or negligence on our part.
No pets are allowed, except guide dogs.
Consider your neighbors
All public areas must be vacated by 11pm, unless permission granted. Consideration for fellow guests and residents of the local area is required at all times, especially early in the morning or later in the evening.
Management reserves the right to ask any guests or visitors of guests to vacate the premises should their behaviour be deemed inappropriate or offence to other guests.
